The Club is pleased to welcome PGA Professional, Ashley Skidmore, to the Flying Horse Team.
A Texas native, Ashley grew up in Bastrop, Texas. She started her golf career through the First Tee of Austin, where she started her passion for the game of golf. After playing golf at Bastrop High School, she decided to pursue her golf career by attending Sam Houston State University’s Professional Golf Management Program in Huntsville, Texas.
During her time there, she interned at The Broadmoor Golf Club, Promontory Golf Club in Park City, and at The Hyatt at Lost Pines in Bastrop, Texas. After graduation Ashley worked as an Assistant Golf Professional at The Broadmoor and then moved to Garden City, KS to pursue a job as the First Assistant Golf Professional. Ashley was awarded her PGA Membership in January 2015.
Before accepting the Assistant Golf Professional Position at Flying Horse, Ashley worked as the Head Golf Professional at Teravista Golf Club in Round Rock, Texas. For the past year and half, Ashley supervised and operated the golf operation for the facility. This past December, Ashley was awarded the Player Development Award for 2017 in the Southern Texas PGA Section.
Outside of golf, you will find Ashley with her boyfriend Caleb and her adored dog Zoey.
