Spring is certainly off to a slow start but our team is excited that summer is (hopefully) right around the corner!

We have been alerted by the City of Colorado Springs that Flying Horse Club Drive is next on the list for the 2C Road Improvement Initiative. This is the same project that is currently affecting access on Barossa Valley Road and all around northern Colorado Springs. As a reminder, this is a voter-approved sales tax with revenues dedicated solely to improving roads, sidewalks, curb and gutter within Colorado Springs. We do not have control over their schedule or the scope of the project but are pleased that these improvements are happening!

We expect work to begin this Wednesday, May 26. They will start at The Club gates and move east over the next 6-8 weeks. For 7-14 days, there will be times that one side of the entrance/exit of The Club will be blocked and traffic will be one way with a construction flagger or signage guiding drivers entering/exiting the club. Please expect to be delayed during this time. The City will initially be working on curb, gutter and ramps. The final step will be a complete asphalt overlay on the full length of Flying Horse Club Drive, which I think most will agree is much needed.

The Club also has improvement projects planned in the month of June inside our gates to include asphalt work in our parking lots and a resurface of the Clubhouse Courtyard.

As dates are finalized with contractors, we will share them with you.

Sincerely,

Wendy McHenry
General Manager
